Valued at $178.8 billion a year, the Gulf hospitality, leisure and recreation industries are set to grow, driven by rising visitor numbers, expanding populations and the hosting of major global events like Expo 2020. Between October 2020 and April 2021, Dubai will host the next World Expo. Bringing together more than 180 nations and an international audience of 25 million visitors.
To accommodate these visitors, thousands of hotels, residences, shopping malls and healthcare facilities are being completed to ensure every need is catered to. The construction phase is nearing conclusion and sourcing of interiors is now the top priority.
To answer this demand, seven industry leading UAE events will co-locate at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 17-19th September under the banner of Middle East Design & Hospitality Week. Through these co located events, MEDHW will showcase the most important brands from the global design & hospitality communities. Visitors attending will not only come from the UAE, but will also include neighbouring GCC countries, India, Russia plus East and North Africa.
BCFA are facilitating a UK group of companies to attend these shows – an announcement of UK Department of International Trade Funding is expected shortly.
