About the company:

Herbert Parkinson has been a Subsidiary Company of the John Lewis Partnership since 1953, providing an exclusive range of soft furnishing products. With an experienced design team and extensive flexible manufacturing facilities, offering a full development and manufacturing service for soft furnishing products, including cushions, pillows, duvets, curtains & blinds.

About the role:

In this role you will lead on the sales development of the Contract business for Herbert Parkinson. You will research, seek out and connect with potential clients for the Contract business and develop strong relationships with key accounts whilst maintaining existing relationships with current clients. You will also enable the business to maximise sustainable value creation with customers and maximise the return from customer negotiations.

Expected qualifications and experience:

What you'll have

  • Proven account management experience within the contract industry

  • A strong track record of driving sales, growth and profit in a similar market

  • Strong data analysis and sales forecasting skills. 

  • Proven senior strategic leadership experience

Please note, a Full driving licence is required for this position. 

What else could you bring?

  • Wide knowledge of the contract interiors industry.

  • Existing connections and track record in the contract market.

  • Experience in the Care, Hospitality or housing sectors.
