About the role:

  • Hybrid working - London Design Hub 3 days per week, WFH 2 days
  • Scale the team, innovate with new technology and processes, and drive forward the brand and demand in line with commercial goals on a global scale.

The role of Global Head of Marketing

This Global Head of Marketing position will report to the CRO and lead a global team of five marketeers, based across five office locations and Global showrooms.

The Global Head of Marketing will work in close partnership with Business Unit heads and regional Business Development heads to develop an enhanced, high-performance group-wide B2B marketing strategy geared to building the brand and delivering in-bound sales lead generation.

Day to day responsibilities of the Head of Marketing include

  • Develop, articulate, and deliver a clear strategy for the business' marketing activities that will support brand awareness and drive demand in line with the company's ambitious growth strategy.
  • Develop revised marketing KPIs and provide monthly reporting of these to the senior management to track progress in meeting the strategic goals.
  • Work with the regional business unit leaders to roll-out the centralised strategies, localising for regional goals and objectives.
  • Develop key product marketing strategies to drive and increase the volume of qualified sales leads provided to the global business development team
  • Develop and implement an account-based marketing strategy to deepen relationships with existing clients and promote upsells of its services.
  • Be accountable for the business brand guidelines, all content/collateral and materials that are created and for the tone of voice.
  • Run the marketing CRM and manage service providers including HubSpot, LinkedIn, Lead Forensics, Google Analytics, QuickBooks, and Zoom (including tools used by our marketing support team which reports to regional heads of business development).
  • Track our competitors and provide regular competitive intelligence updates to BU and BD heads.
  • Collect client feedback to guide enhancement of services and develop user case studies that articulate USPs and benefits of those services.
  • Oversee the Product Development and Launch process, to ensure successful introduction and marketing of new services.
  • Co-ordinate the production of the Price List in appropriate currencies. Includes setting timeframes, managing imagery, consistent branding, and ensuring delivery to each region simultaneously.
  • Oversee the Events Management at Design Hubs and industry shows in all regions. 
  • Recruit and manage the global marketing team to proactively deliver the marketing plan as the business scales, including ensuring that we have the right mix of skills on the team and their talents are developed and effectively deployed. Set, monitor and report on team goals. 
  • Build and maintain positive and honest relationships with all relevant third-party suppliers and services, such as web developers, graphic designers, PR, etc. Examples are Sleeper Media, DoDigital, Cube, Design Insider, Sapna, Hive, etc.

Expected qualifications and experience:

  • Experience working in a senior-level marketing position, owning, and running a marketing function within a similar B2B business intelligence and preferably furniture provider organisation
  • Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • People management experience - leading, coaching and managing in-person and remote teams
  • Energetic and pro-active self-starter able to take responsibility for devising strategy, hands-on delivery, and team management.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven track record of implementing and delivering marketing transformation programmes.
  • Excellent project management skills; adept at multi-tasking, prioritisation and collaborating with colleagues across functions.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering holistic and successful inbound and outbound marketing programmes resulting in increased demand, leads, and revenue
  • Broad B2B marketing knowledge and experience across Brand, Demand, ABM, Digital and Communications
  • Experience of sourcing, implementing, and working with the latest marketing technologies - CRM, automation etc
  • A passion for architecture and design is preferable
